Canon Has Officially Ended Their 7D Series DSLR Line
(Writer: Frankie Cavone)
Canon has officially ended their EOS 7D series DSLR line. With the growing popularity of mirrorless cameras, Canon is putting their full focus on creating new mirrorless bodies to go along with the EOS-R and EOS-RP models. The Canon 7D was released in September 2009 with a crop sensor. What made this camera great was that the body was waterproof with an 18mp sensor and shot at 8 fps. 5 years later. Canon released the 7D Mark ii which was a great camera to use for video production. Here at Mirth Films, we used the this camera on many different occasions and found it great to use.
Mr. Steal Your Trick | Created using the 7D Mkii
The 7Dmkii had capabilities to record video at 1080p up to 60 frames per second. For stills, this camera shined with shooting up to 10 fps making it great for shooting wild life and sports. We hope that Canon releases a mirrorless version similar to this camera. Check out some sample images and videos below!
