On Saturday April 6th at The Cutting Room in New York City, Hayley Jane and the Primates performed their last Manhattan show before going on hiatus.

The show was opened by Colorado quartet “Amoramora”. They delivered a rocking, high energy set, packed with fun musical teases that excited the packed crowd. It’s hard to believe they’ve only been playing together for 3 years considering the power they bring to the stage.

Enter the Primates: Hayley Jane owns her stage with masterful grace while providing a dynamic performance. Her powerful stage presence is unparalleled. The band follows her lead with expert precision, rising with the power of rolling thunder or providing the subtle ambient effect trickling rain. The tone of their new keyboardist, Josh Dobbs (from Burlington VT’s “Dead Set”) creates an exciting, tickling, dynamic in the music that fits perfectly in the sound of “The Primates”.

Hayley Jane and the Primates provide an exciting dynamic performance that commands the full attention of listeners. The songs speak to the soul and moves listeners to new uncharted waters. While a hiatus announcement may be bitter, the creative genius of these individuals make it bittersweet. There will be more to come!
