Gaffer Tape Inventor, Ross Lowell, Dead at 92
Ross Lowell, the founder of Lowel-Light and gaffer tape inventor has passed away at the age of 92. According to PDN, he died on January 10th in Pound Ridge, NY. His contributions to the creative world will have a lasting impact to the community. Ross Lowell was a cinematographer and photographer and registered over 25 patents throughout his lifetime. For nearly 30 years, Lowell directed, shot and was apart of multiple short films and documentaries. At Mirth Films, we wouldn’t know what to do without any “gaff tape” so thank you ross for creating what many can’t go without!
