Canon Announces EOS RP Full Frame Mirrorless Camera
Canon has just unveiled their second mirrorless full frame camera. They are calling it the EOS RP. For some of you its not you may have wanted, but for other trying to get into the full frame market, the price is a sweet spot that is hard to turn up. At just $1,299, this camera produces great images. This is Canon’s lightest and smallest full frame camera and is also the cheapest full frame mirrorless camera out of any camera companies.
The camera is very similar to the EOS R in many ways but with a lower megapixel count of 26.2 megapixels. It features their crispy Dual Pixel CMOS Autofocus system with 4779 AF points. One thing that this camera lacks is a decent continuous shooting speed. With only 5fps, this camera will face difficulties shooting fast pace subjects like sports. The ISO can reach up to 40,000 and can be expandable to 102,400. The EOS RP also features the same DIGIC 8 Processor as the Canon EOS R. As far as video goes, it does shoot a cropped 4K at 25fps but lacks Canon Log and has a flip out touch screen. Everything else with the camera is what you would expect from a Canon camera such as the platform, color and built in WIFI.
