Bertha a self described “Grateful Drag” Grateful Dead cover band. The group consists of 7 of the most talented musicians performing Grateful Dead covers today, in full drag. A performance on top of a performance!

These folks, both queer and queer allies made it a point to take their love of the Grateful Dead and covering their extensive catalog and making a statement by performing in drag. Bringing attention to issues that befall many queer people throughout our country and beyond. Specifically the right to perform in whatever clothing an individual feels most comfortable presenting themselves in. They support organizations on every stop of their tour. Raising money and awareness.

Every musician is world class and the music is incredible. The harmonies are superior. Every audience member in the crowd was dancing. The energy was that of love and acceptance just like, I think, the Dead would have it. Smiles and singing along ruled the night.

There is a small banner hanging from an amp behind the bassist that reads: “It’s A Rainbow Full Of Sound” and this sentiment couldn’t be truer. A rich and colorful experience… One I will be sure to seek out again and again!
