Gaelic Storm is just that a storm of joy and amazing music and so much fun it should be illegal! They teamed up with Jig Jam on this latest run to double the fun and shenanigans. Audiences were delighted! And who wouldn’t be? The music alone could have been enough, both bands are insanely talented and so much fun.
The story telling and jokes are a generous bonus of entertainment. Also, they often invite local Irish step dancers to accompany them on stage to up the ante. The following photo gallery reflects the fullness of the evening…
Special note; The first photo is of Ronnie McCoury holding up a shirt sent to him by Jig Jam he received the following night at his own show (myself as courier). I happened to mention to the boys I was shooting the Travlin’ McCourys the following evening and they delighted in sending him a mandolin sized t-shirt as a belated birthday gift. They had played his family’s music festival, Delfest, in Cumberland Maryland last May.
