Last month The Infamous Stringdusters released a double album to celebrate 20 years as a band and Mirth Films traveled down to Nashville, TN to attend BMI’s presentation of The Infamous Stringdusters’ album release party at The World Famous Station Inn. The newest album is simply titled, 20/20. It was everything we thought it would be and more. It pays to be a VIP. The first half of the evening we were treated to a Q&A with the fellas led by Ned Luberecki about the last twenty years as a band. Audience members were encouraged to ask questions.
Green River Whiskey sponsored this earlier part of the evening. They offered samples and sold bottles for folks to take home to enjoy. They even gifted the fellas with custom labeled bottles to commemorate the occation. It sounds cliche to simply say, this was an album twenty years in the making… This collection is packed with brand new music containing all the evolution and growth that goes along with fleshing out so many new tunes. 20/20 feels like a homecoming and yet has all the feels of poignant, relevant songs for the times were in. The ‘Dusters’ have packed a lot of life and a lot of shows into the past 20 years. Go have a listen to 20/20.
You can catch the Infamous Stringdusters next week on the 19th of March, at The Bardavon 1869 Opera House. Supported by Fireside Collective on this run. So, it is sure to be a lively evening. Dig out your dancing shoes!
We sat down with the Fireside guys and asked them a few questions. You can check out that interview here.
