The E-Block certainly has had a busy month of January with multiple shows in their hometown Albany, NY; of which I have caught two this month which is certainly a real treat. Tonight we are at The Hollow which is one of my favorite live music venues in the area. The drinks were flowing and the room started to fill, everyone waiting for the same thing. 

The E-Block has such a fun crowd of people at every show; they really know how to get the audience swaying and singing along to every song which is always a good sign to see when the whole crowd has the same head bop. The E-Block dances in between slow jammy songs and  powerful soulful dance jams. It is comforting seeing a younger band always having friends and family at every show. They have a steady loyal following despite being a newer local band coming from the 518.

Tonight’s show included 2 full sets of The E-Block including 2 new songs they debuted for us, “Number one”* and “Katonah”*. Tonight’s jams were extra funky, they definitely were having fun with it and playing off each other beautifully. On stage and off were smiles left to right as everyone vibed to the jazzy tunes. Finishing with an encore of a cover of Tracy Chapman’s fast car which is always a crowd favorite; I’d say the night was a success!
