Skateboarding icon Eric Koston has been announced as the official team captain of USA Skateboarding. Koston is regarded as one of the best professional skateboarders to do it producing memorable video parts including his part in Girl Skateboard’s Yeah Right. He was hand selected by Johnny Schillereff, USA Skateboarding’s CEO.
According to The Berrics, when Koston was approached, he stated:
When Johnny approached me to be the Team Captain of our National team and mentor the skateboarders who represent our country in The Olympic Games, I was honored…More importantly, I am excited to have this opportunity to work with Johnny and USA Skateboarding to help them achieve the greatest possible success coming into Paris 2024.”
The next Olympics takes place in Paris, France in 2024. The winner of Men’s street at 2020’s Olympics in Tokyo was hometown hero Yuto Horigome.
