Kevin Morby brought his tour in support of This is a Photograph to Boston this week. His latest band, The Photographs, are a tight ensemble who are completely in the zone at the moment. Every song was stellar and saw Kevin and the band stretch outside of the confines of the song into some excellent jams. Eight of the twelve songs from the album were played and while that may seem like a lot, the audience absolutely loved it. Kevin barely stood still all night and his energy was contagious as the crowd was lively as well. Kevin even threw his guitar in the air at one point and after was surprised he had done it stating he’d never done that before and was happy he caught it. Coco opened the show with a stunning set that saw the members switching instruments, harmonizing perfectly, sharing lead vocals, and winning over the crowd easily. Their self titled debut came out last year and is worth your time to listen to. Their set proved that you should never miss an opener as they might become your new favorite obsession.
