Samsung Electronics is stepping into the guitar industry with their newly created “smart guitar” which will feature a light up fret board to stay along with the song. Each fret features a row of LED lights to help instruct those without a fundamental understanding of how to read music.

The guitar is being developed with the help of ZamStar. The instrument will be all-integrated being able to communicate with a smartphone app for choosing songs to learn and more. The app also has a built in face-time style chatroom for musicians to be able to jam with each other.

The shape of the guitar body looks identical to a Fender Telecaster minus the headstock. While this piece of gear is made with the beginner in mind, it is also a great tool for more advanced guitar players to lock down tricky solos as well.
