Memorial Meltdown 2024 has come and went and we are already looking forward to Adirondack Independence Music Festival! The festival took place right at Charles R Wood Park in Lake George, NY this time with a different approach to the music. Almost every year, the beloved festival is jam band heavy. With Dispatch and The Revivalists headlining the 2024 edition, Memorial Meltdown which began in 2021 had a refreshing feeling with an opportunity to bring people in who are not aware of the festival.
The feeling of not knowing what to expect was what made this year so special. There was something to offer musically to everyone. For the legacy ADK Music Fest goers, there will still fan favorites including Mihali and Ryan Montbleau to name a couple. For the Americana fans, The Mallett Brothers brought a fun and memorable set to the table. Lets also not forget the ever growing Annie in the Water who continually prove that they are one of the next great acts.
The music is one thing but what makes Memorial Meltdown and ADK Music Festival so special is the family that has been created from fans returning to the festival grounds every single year since ADK Music Festival’s inception back in 2016. You are able to feel safe and comfortable in your own skin and that right there is what creates an incredible festival atmosphere.
