Ben Folds has shared that he will be bringing back his “Paper Airplane Request Tour” playing shows between May and August. What makes this tour special? Folds encrouages his audience to make song requests via paper airplane during the show and ultimately creating their own setlist.
Folds stated, “The last time I did this on tour the response was overwhelming, with literally hundreds of paper airplanes with song requests being launched on cue from fans at the start of the second half of each of my concerts…It’s the purest, most low-tech form of engagement that creates a special bond with my audiences.”
The tour kicks off at Charleston Music Hall in Charleston, SC on May 30th and closes out August 6th at Beaver Creek, CO’s Vilar Performing Arts Center. Ben Folds will make few stops in the northeast including performances at The Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center in Great Barrington, MA on June 22nd and at Point of the Bluff Concert Pavilion in Hammondsport, NY on June 23rd.
