It was reggae night in Albany, NY on Thursday, July 20th with The Skatalites taking over Alive at 5. The act received support from the one and only Dr. Jah and the Love Prophets, an Albany, NY staple. The Skatalites have captivated audiences worldwide with their musical talents. Founded in 1964, they pioneered the Jamaican popular music genre of Ska, which has since grown to encompass various sub-genres including Rocksteady, Reggae, 2tone, Third Wave, Ska-Jazz, Ska-Punk, Ragga, and Dub.
