The 2023 Listen Up Awards presented by Mirth Films and Radio Radio X was hosted at The Cohoes Music Hall in Cohoes, NY seeing hundreds of Capital Region musicians and fans joining together to support live music. Nearly 40,000(38,752 to be exact) voted upon this year’s nominees who were also voted in by the fans.
We really mean it when we say Your Vote, Your Choice and from the bottom of our hearts, thank you for supporting live music. We are lucky to have a wealth of bands and acts across the Capital Region and North Country and the best way to help them out is by buying a ticket and getting out there to see a show.
This year saw four new hero award recipients including Josh Bloomfield, Scott Dorrance, Howard Glassman and Mother Judge who have all positively impacted our music scene in their own ways. Big thanks to J.B. Aka Dirty Moses, Soul Sky and Joe Barna and the Sketches of Influence for performing live and keeping the fun going all afternoon.
