The Game Awards Announces 2021 Nominees

The Game Awards have announced their 2021 nominees with over 25 categories including Game of the Year, Best Game Direction, Best Art Direction among many others. The award ceremony takes place December 9th and is watchable virtually via livestream to 40 video, social and gaming platforms. If you are adventurous enough, The Game Awards will be returning to an in-person crowd this year in Downtown Los Angeles, CA.

In a press release, the show creator Geoff Keighley stated:

“We are very excited to return to the Microsoft Theater for a special night to celebrate the past, present and future of video games…Our goal is to bring the entire community together to celebrate the most powerful form of entertainment in the world, and recognize emerging voices that represent the future of the medium.”

The Game Awards has been recognizing the best in the gaming industry since 2014 bringing not only block-buster games to the table, but also recognizes e-sports teams/coaches, indie game developers and even content creators. Check out the full list of this year’s categories and nominees below:
